We’re pleased to share that the Snohomish School District's local levies were officially certified on February 20 with strong community support:
56.91% – Educational Programs and Operations Replacement Levy
58.47% – Replacement Levy for Technology, Safety and Facility Improvements
Thank you for helping make these positive election results possible and for the role you play every day in supporting our schools and community!
With the February election behind us, it’s important we all take a moment to celebrate this support. At the same time, the district is beginning conversations about a possible bond that will address our facility needs. As a reminder, the levies that just passed help bridge the gap between what the state funds and what it actually costs to educate our students, while bonds fund major construction and building projects. Simply put: bonds are for building; levies are for learning.
Our community committee, Citizens for Snohomish Schools (CFSS) plays an important role in helping inform and engage the community during these efforts. This all-volunteer group of parents and community members has supported school funding campaigns in Snohomish for more than 30 years under the belief that strong schools = strong communities.
